While a lot of attention has been put on concussions and other neurological issues in football Frank Conidi, MD, DO, MS, from the Florida Center for Headache and Sports Neurology said concussions can be an issue in any number of sports from baseball and lacrosse to show jumping. Because of this Conidi said education is important at all levels of sports and in all sports where concussions can be an issue for these young athletes. Conidi addressed these issues during the American Academy of Neurology's 68th Annual Meeting in Vancouver.
