Laura H. Kahn, MD, MPH, MPP, a research scholar at the Woodrow Willson School of Public Policy and International Affiars of Princeton University discussed the virus during a recent interview with MD Magazine. Kahn said that while the virus was first discovered in the 1940's there are still several questions to be answered. She also added that of the many infectious diseases concerning medical community Zika only seems to have a direct potential impact on newborns, though that connection has not been definitively made to this point.
