There are many factors to consider when looking at a patient's overall cardiac health. Sometimes, especially when it comes to triglycerides alternative medicine can be a valuable option to consider.

Michael Miller, MD, from the University of Maryland School of Medicine discussed how these factors can be considered in care during the American College of Cardiology's annual meeting in Chicago. Miller said spices like cardamom, cinnamon, or cocoa powder can also help reduce triglycerides along with other lifestyle changes.
