Reforming Healthcare & Managed Care |
Friday, March 19th, 2010 A recent New York Times editorial, states that the status quo for our healthcare system is immoral, impractical, and unsustainable. Yet no proposition identifies, in a practical way what does or does not work on the front lines of medicine.

Jeff Kaplan, MD, MS Jeffrey Gene Kaplan, MD, MS is a practicing pediatrician who, for over thirty years, has helped develop community health centers and health plans--always in the interest of managing care well and fairly. After residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and 3 years in the National Health Services Corp, U.S. Public Health Service, he returned to Syracuse as chief physician executive for HSA/HSMC for 16 years. He continued as both a physician and physician executive since then, when in 2002 he returned to the "sanity of medical practice" where, as he says, he is 'no longer confused as to who he represents.'
Dr. Kaplan comes to this blog after a successful six years with Managed Care Interface (pub., Medicom International) to continue addressing inequities created by our broken health care system.
Reforming Healthcare & Managed Care Jeff Kaplan, MD, MS Frustrated with or by managed care? This is the place to find answers to your questions.
