The issue of marijuana use is complicated for many reasons. One of the biggest, according to a recent survey is the willingness of patients and healthcare providers alike to even discuss the topic.
Stacey Cofield, PhD, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham discussed the results of a confidential survey during the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers in Indianapolis Cofield said the confidential nature of the survey allowed patients to more freely express their opinions on the topic. She said the results of the survey showed that more discussion was needed in order to better understand the potential benefits of marijuana in patient care.
