In this Society of Critical Care Medicine podcast, Desmond Bohn, MC, BCH, Chief of Medicine in the Department of Critical Care at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada discusses his editorial, "The Problem of Acute Hyponatremia in Hospitalized Children: The Solution is the Solution," which was published in the November 2008 issue of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. The editorial was in response to an article by P. Alvarez-Montanana et al, published in the same issue titled, "The Use of Isotonic Fluid as Maintenance Therapy Prevents Iatrogenic Hyponatremia in Pediatrics.”
