Charles C. Wykoff, MD, PhD, from Retina Consultants Houstan, discussed this topic during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Chicago. Wykoff said because of the damage diabetes can do to a patient's eyes treating it correctly can make a considerable difference in the life of a patient.
