Once a potential issue is identified in a patient's thyroid there are many options to consider in their overall care and treatment.

Alison Semrad, DO, from UC Davis Health System discussed some of the latest developments in treatment for the condition during a recent interview with MD Magazine. Semrad said one of the biggest keys to proper treatment of thyroid cancer is imaging which can show not only the nodules, but also their shape, size, and potentially concerning features that would be considered in how to move forward for treatment.
