Researchers investigated the impact of bariatric surgery on cardiovascular health & diabetes, as well as statin therapy & visceral adipose tissue.

We highlight studies from the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions focused on the effect of bariatric surgery on cardiovascular health and diabetes. Researchers compared lifestyle modification to surgery, looked at quantity and quality of visceral adipose tissue, and examined the impact of statin therapy.
