If the crisis point is the moment where a crisis will worsen or begins to get better, our question was the same throughout our first 3 episodes: Where are we now? Thus far, we took a look at the scope, clinical burdens, and the regional differences in the obesity crisis.

But, now the question has shifted. We know where we are, but we must ask "How do we solve this crisis?"

This is episode 4 of HCPLive® Crisis Point, the final episode in the series on the Obesity Crisis, entitled "What is the blueprint?"

Here, we focus on building the blueprint to resolving this crisis, from the breaking of stigma, to government policy and better food production that may lead to a decrease in obesity rates.

Once more, we feature our advocates and experts who have proven their expertise and provided their unique insights into the care that goes into a public health crisis. These included:

  • Hans Schmidt, MD, Division Chief, Bariatric Surgery, Hackensack University Medical Center
  • Shauna Downs, PhD, Assistant Professor, Rutgers School of Public Health
  • Jun Tashiro, MD, Pediatric Surgeon, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, NYU Langone Health
  • Jose Aleman, MD, Assistant Professor, NYU Langone Health
  • Louis Aronne, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Intellihealth and Medical Director, Comprehensive Weight Control Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center
