2011 ACC VIDEO: Cardiovascular Screening in HIV

Dr. Alexander Goehler explains that due an increase in longevity of HIV-infected patients, cardiovascular issues are becoming more prevalent.

Dr. Alexander Goehler discusses his poster, "Clinical Benefit and Cost Effectiveness of Cardiovascular Disease Screening in HIV Infected Patients," at ACC's 60th Annual Scientific Sessions. Goehler explains that the reason for conducting this study is due to an increased longevity of HIV-infected patients, which has led to an increase in developing cardiovascular issues in these patients.
