Community Effort Looks to Bolster Women's Health

In urban areas like Los Angeles women, particularly young mothers, may not have the money, time, and resources needed to take care of their own health. A new study has looked to find ways to help keep them healthy and also help the overall good of their families and communities as well.

In urban areas like Los Angeles women, particularly young mothers, may not have the money, time, and resources needed to take care of their own health. A new study has looked to find ways to help keep them healthy and also help the overall good of their families and communities as well.

Jo-Ann Eastwood of the UCLA School of Nursing said the early results have shown promise that by taking small steps and providing the right kind of education patients can see dramatic improvements in their health. The results were presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Chicago.
