Diabetes Dialogue: EASD 2022 and CGM News

The last 45 days have brought forth an explosion in relevant news and data related to diabetes management. Multiple pieces of guidance from major national and international organizations, an international conference, and the launches of 2 new continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems meant diabetes care and education specialists had to catch up on what could be a year’s worth of advances for disease states.

In the most recent episode of Diabetes Dialogue: Therapeutics, Technology, & Real-World Perspectives, hosts Diana Isaacs, PharmD, and Natalie Bellini, DNP, provided listeners with insight into the biggest news in the month of September. Topics of discussion included new data on DIY looping in The New England Journal of Medicine and a deep dive into consensus recommendations for the use of automated insulin delivery (AID) systems in clinical practice published in Endocrine Reviews, which Isaacs helped compose as a member of the writing committee.

In this special edition episode, our hosts break down their top clinical takeaways from the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 2022 annual meeting, new data from the FLASH-UK trial, the global launch of Dexcom G7, and the announcement of US availability for the FreeStyle Libre 3.

Diabetes Dialogue: Therapeutics, Technology, and Real-World Perspectives is available in an audio-only format on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
