Charles Bernstein, MD, FACG, discusses his research on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) treatment at the 2014 ACG Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

He comments that his research group has been interested in the psycho- social aspect of IBD and the role of stress as a factor in disease course.

“Certainly the advances of the last decade have changed the way we mange IBD. I think there’s a whole other aspect of managing people wit a chronic disease that’s often overlooked,” said Bernstein.
