She discusses the necessity of better understanding the biology of this disease to develop prevention strategies that should be feasible and affordable.

“We think all the family doctors and gastrointestinal doctors as well as patients should be aware of the increasing incidence in the more aggressive features of CRC among the young,” said Zheng.
