Evaluating Cardiovascular Risk Associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis

This webcast looks at the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and markers of rheumatoid arthritis severity.

This CME activity from the Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education is designed to “review data about the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and markers of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) severity reported in a prospective longitudinal cohort study.”

The presenter outlines the study design to evaluate cardiovascular risk factors in patients with RA, describes why patients with RA have an increased risk of cardiovascular-related morbidity.; and discusses the relative contribution of cardiovascular risk factors and markers of RA disease activity in predicting the risk of cardiovascular disease.
