There are several products on the market designed to help patients manage the symptoms associated with menopause. New research was recently presented on one option which does not include progesterone and what that means for care.

JoAnn V. Pinkerton, MD, from the University of Virginia discussed the work she has done in this field during the 27th annual meeting of the North American Menopause Society in Orlando. Pinkerton, who also serves as the Executive Director of the society said progesterone has been linked to several negative health effects which can make a big difference in helping patients feel more comfortable with their treatment overall.
