As more children were admitted to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, the staff knew something was wrong. One doctor gave her impressions of that time during IDWeek 2014 in Philadelphia.

During a press conference at IDWeek 2014, Mary Anne Jackson, MD, FPIDS, director of infectious diseases at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, discussed the recent outbreak of the Enterovirus D68 that was first reported at her facility.
