Carl Regillo, MD, from the Willis Eye Hospital in Philadelphia discussed the diagnosis process of this condition during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Chicago. Regillo noted that with the current anti-VEGF treatments available once the diagnosis is made there are ways to help patients manage their symptoms and treat the condition successfully. The treatment process may not be easy at parts but Regillo said it is possible with attention to detail and care by providers and patients alike.
