Hahnemann University Hospital to Offer Gender Affirmation Surgery to Transgender Patients

Hahnemann University Hospital has launched the Gender Reassignment Surgical Program — a new gender affirmation program for transgender patients. Hahnemann will offer both female-to-male and male-to-female gender confirming surgeries. The launch of the program is the first for an academic medical center in the Philadelphia region.

Under the direction of board-certified plastic surgeon Kathy L. Rumer, DO, FACOS, patients interested in gender confirmation surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital have access to face, breast, chest, body contouring, gender reassignment and other related surgeries. Dr. Rumer is a private practice physician who leads an aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery office on the Main Line.
