David Bernstein, MD, the director of the Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Diseases, a part of the Northwell health system on Long Island discussed the latest in treatment of hepatitis C and work his institution is doing to help these people overcome the condition and enjoy a normal quality of life. Bernstein said the difference in treatment can be seen in waiting rooms around the country. Whereas they were once filled with patients seeking treatment in despair there is now a different feeling knowing that help is within reach.
