Image IQ: 27-Year-Old with Excessive Fatigue, Sweating, and Heat Intolerance

How good are your diagnostic skills? Test them with this month's Visual Dx quiz!

A 27-year-old woman went to her primary care doctor complaining of fatigue, excessive sweating, and heat intolerance over the last few months. She just couldn’t seem to stay cool enough. She mentioned she had lost some weight recently but hadn’t made any diet or exercise changes. While she was there, she said she also wanted to ask about her fingernails. It seemed like some of them were kind of lifting off the nail bed and she wasn’t sure why. During the exam, the doctor noted the patient’s skin was warm to the touch.
