While the dangers of smoking are well known to most people there still remains a segment of the population who continues to smoke despite efforts to encourage them to quit.

While the dangers of smoking are well known to most people there still remains a segment of the population who continues to smoke despite efforts to encourage them to quit.

Carolyn Dresler from the US Food and Drug Administration's Center for Tobacco Products said that a lot has been done to help people quit but that the work is not done in that area either. Dresler was one of the speakers at the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians in Austin.
