Recently, Jennifer B. Green, MD, Duke Health, led a 4 person panel of Duke doctors on emerging topics in diabetes management.

The June 22 symposium, called Institutional Perspectives in Type 2 Diabetes: Contemporary Approaches to Insulin Treatment, was part of HCPLive's State of the Science program.

Green kicked the program off with a discussion on the role of insulin therapy in contemporary diabetes management. That was followed by a talk about insulin initiation by Andrea D Coviello, MD, Duke Health,

Next, Susan E. Spratt, MD, Duke Health, talked about intensification and modification of insulin therapy. The final segment was about integrating technology into insulin management, led by Hiba Abou Assi, MD, Duke Health.
