Kevin Zacharoff, MD: Pain, Drugs, and Ethics

Pain is the single most common reason people seek medical attention - more than heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.

Kevin Zacharoff, MD, SUNY Stonybrook School of Medicine, discussed at PAINWeek 2016, the majority of his work is about transferring knowledge to the people focused on caring for patients suffering from chronic pain.

Zacharoff also talked about a new elective course offered at Stonybrook: Pain, Drugs, Ethics. He hopes this class will be fruitful for the new generation of physicians, after all, he commented, "pain is the single most common reason people seek medical attention - more than heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension."
