Kia Shahlaie, MD, PhD, from UC Davis Health System discussed some of these developments during a recent interview with MD Magazine. While in the past neurosurgery has been associated with larger holes cut to perform the operation, there is now an effort to find either other ways to access the brain or make smaller incisions for the procedure.
