Kia Shahlaie, MD, PhD, from UC Davis Health System did a second fellowship in movement disorders. This can include either the implanting of a device to help some conditions or removing tissue which can have a negative impact on a patients. Shahlaie said the procedures are not a cure for these conditions but can provide a considerable amount of help well beyond what pharmaceutical options can provide.
