Larry Allen, MD, continued discussing the rebirth in heart failure. The late 80's brought forth a number of advances that almost set the standard for patient care. But, from 2004 to 2015, there were almost no new drugs for heart failure that were approved along with many negative trials. Whereas in the last couple of years, we have had a few more drugs approved and have seen artificial hearts become more mainstream for a larger portion of the population.
