Paul Turek, MD, FACS, FRSM, from the Turek Clinic in California discussed some of these alternatives during the AACE's 24th Annual Scientific and Clinical Congress in Nashville. Turek said cost, compliance, and potential side effects can all be factors to consider when doctors are prescribing the treatment for these patients. T
