There is a natural fear and anxiety when patients hear the term brain tumor. However, doctors are working to alleviate that as much as possible through a variety of treatments and procedures.

Maciej Lesniak, MD, from Northwestern Medicine, discussed the latest in the treatment of a rare condition and what is being done to help this patient population today. The doctor said that while it is a rare condition it is gaining some attention in the general public in recent years. Complicating treatment is the fact that some forms of cancer can move to the brain and make the process more extensive and involved in many ways.
