David Loren, MD, Thomson Jefferson University discussed how this molecular diagnostic affected changes in management decisions for surgery versus watching patients with pancreatic lesions than current International Consensus Guideline recommendations.

Loren said that at the end of the day, while impacting physician decision making on these patients, the question is, "Have we really benefited the patients or not?
