Jens Cosedis Nielsen, DMSc, PHD, from Aarhus University Hosptial discussed the results of the second round of follow ups during the European Society of Cardiology's annual conference in London. Nielsen said that while the results of the two treatment options were similar after 2 years, by the 5 year mar patients who had undergone the surgical option showed better results.
