Ayako Suzuki, MD, MS, MPH, from the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System discussed the work of her study during Digestive Disease Week in Washington DC. Suzuki said her study focused on host factors and drug properties to see why some patients may be more likely to develop the condition than others. Other factors she looked at were age and gender as part of the data field for the research.
