The field of obstetrics and gynecology is constantly moving forward including new treatments for conditions like fibroids as well as work on new surgical treatments like uterine transplants. All these changes can present a wide range of challenges for health care professionals who work in this area of medicine.

The field of obstetrics and gynecology is constantly moving forward including new treatments for conditions like fibroids as well as work on new surgical treatments like uterine transplants. All these changes can present a wide range of challenges for health care professionals who work in this area of medicine.

While some of the procedures doctors are performing present their own challenges in the work Scott G. Chudnoff, MD, from Mount Sinai Medical Center said some, like the uterine transplant present ethical challenges to address as well. While not a transplant surgeon Chudnoff said there are many factors to consider when looking at the wide range of conditions doctors in his field treat on a daily basis.
