There are more options of insulin for diabetic patients than ever.

With many different formulations of insulin available, many advocates have honed in on cost as a key barrier preventing better care for patients with diabetes.

Recently, during HCPLive’s® State of the Science event called New Advances in Insulin Therapy for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes a panel of experts spoke about new and emerging treatment for diabetes and what challenges still remain in care.

In an interview with HCPLive, Barbara Simon, MD, associate professor of endocrinology, Sidney Kimmel Medical Center at Thomas Jefferson University discussed the panel and gave an overview on the current state of diabetes care.
