For those doctors who go through the extended training to be certified retina specialists there is a wealth of knowledge to learn in order to provide the best care for patients.

As the president of the American Society of Retina Specialists Tarek S. Hassan, MD, from Associated Retinal Consultants in Michigan said the organization plays a large role in helping to get that knowledge to doctors across the country in order to provide the highest level of care. That work can also include overcoming challenges both at the practice and regulatory levels which Hassan said can be just as important in helping doctors in the clinic in the long run.
