Lungcast reflects on this year in pulmonology, looking back at such topics ranging from the American Lung Association ‘State of the Air’ report to artificial intelligence in lung imaging.
If one were to look back on the year of 2024 in pulmonology, the most notable developments would be almost too numerous to mention.
The field of respiratory health has seen a wide variety of significant developments since 2020 when the American Lung Association (ALA) and HCPLive launched Lungcast as a podcast and video series. A glance throughout Lungcast’s episode library is enough to appreciate this year’s most notable interviews, with featured guests covering everything from diagnostics, screening information, disease prevention, tips for clinicians, and data on recent therapies in the pulmonology health space.
Ever since the show first launched, Lungcast has provided pulmonologists and health care providers a chance to take part in the ongoing conversation being held by experts as well as patient advocates.
To reflect on this year’s array of headlines, HCPLive presents our annual recap episode in conjunction with our This Year In Medicine series. In this recap episode, the Lungcast team reflects on some of the interviews featured in 2024. The following are a set of examples of this year’s interviews, though several other memorable episodes are not on this list.
This list is designed to reflect a random sampling of interviews from 2024 for Lungcast viewers and listeners:
