When treating a woman for cardiac issues in pregnancy there can be potential risks to the fetus. As more is learned about these conditions doctors are better able to help deliver as healthy a baby as possible.

Diana Wolfe, MD, MPH, from Montefiore Medical Center discussed some of these risks during a recent interview with MD Magazine. Wolfe said being aware of these risks can help doctors provide the proper care through a variety of techniques including ultrasound and other imaging techniques.
