Brad Glick, DO, FAAD: Introduction to Derm Discussions

Author(s):

The host of HCPLive's new derm podcast series discusses what to expect as well as the importance of multimedia medical news.

In preparation for the first episode of Derm Discussions launching this week, HCPLive® sat down virtually with Brad Glick, DO, FAAD, Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, to discuss what to expect in this new podcast series.

Glick has been in practice for about 26 years, and his experiences range from general and surgical dermatology to clinical research.

“One of the rationales for doing this podcast is just to continue to keep everyone up to date in these most challenging times,” Glick said.

With the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic continuing to shape the practices and priorities of healthcare, clinicians have increasingly become more focused on the safety and wellness of their patients, staff, and themselves.

Additionally, Glick believes that healthcare providers have become busier while dealing with various burdens of the pandemic.

“To be able to reach out to our colleagues through this kind of vehicle is particularly exciting for me, and I feel very privileged that HCPLive® has asked me to lead these conversations with our esteemed colleagues,” he said.

Multimedia channels, like podcasts, can offer providers an efficient, clear-cut, on-demand means of receiving information or conversations relevant to their specialty.

For Derm Discussions, that means providing dermatologists and interested healthcare providers with the latest derm-related updates, forecasts, and trends.
