The American College of Rheumatology has updated its treatment guidelines for the management of pediatric rheumatic disease during the COVID-19 pandemic. The guideline includes 33 final guidance recommendations, 8 of which received moderate-to-high task force consensus.

The American College of Rheumatology has updated its treatment guidelines for the management of pediatric rheumatic disease (PRD) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The guideline includes 33 final guidance recommendations, 8 of which received moderate-to-high task force consensus. They address the importance of preventative measures, telemedicine practices, and continuing a childhood vaccination schedule.

“This guidance is presented as a ‘living document,’ recognizing that the literature on COVID-19 is rapidly evolving, with future updates anticipated,” stated investigators.
