Q&A with Christina Surawicz: Normal Tests are Obviously a Good Thing

Author(s):

IBS patients are great, because many times they come to you frustrated they don't have a "diagnosis".

Christina Surawicz, MD, from Harbor View Medical Center, commented at the 2015 American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting, "Patients with IBS are great, because many times they've come to you with frustration that they don't have a diagnosis and I'm able to say to them, 'you actually do have a diagnosis.'"

Surawicz also said she thinks the ACG is the premier clinical meeting for gastroenterology and it's always been focused on what's clinically relevant.
