The Affordable Care Act has had a significant impact on the health care landscape beyond patients having more access to health insurance. For hospitals and health care systems they have also had to adjust to provide a high quality of care for patients.

Robert C. Garrett, MHA, President and CEO of the Hackensack University Health Network, discussed how the landscape has changed for providers and how that has contributed to the growth of his and other networks across the country. Garrett said the larger networks are not only beneficial for patients who can have access to even more doctors, but also the doctors themselves who will have access to more resources to improve their practices and provide care for their patients.
