Carboplatin and Paclitaxel with or without Cisplatin and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients with Stage III or Stage IVA Endometrial Cancer

This study will assess whether giving a chemotherapy treatment of carboplatin and paclitaxel after surgery is more effective with or without cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients with endometrial cancer.

Study Type: Interventional

Age/Sex Requirements: 18 years+ (female)

Sponsor: Gynecologic Oncology Group

Purpose: This study will assess whether giving a chemotherapy treatment of carboplatin and paclitaxel after surgery is more effective with or without cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients with endometrial cancer. The study will be primarily measuring recurrence-free survival, as well as evaluating overall survival, incidence of local recurrence or distant metastases, acute and late adverse effects, and quality of life.
