What is the role of the primary care clinician in managing patients with HE? Please describe how this management has changed over the years? Why is this the case?

 

  • HE in the same line as providing primary care for hypertension, diabetes etc. and refer to /consult with specialist when needed.

As a primary care clinician, how do I know when to refer a patient with HE out to the hepatologist?
