While attending the annual American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, John Gorcsan III, MD, from UPMC, said results of a study based out of the University of Louisville could be a game changer for patients and providers alike if long term research on the topic shows the same results. While only one part of the team at the Pittsburgh institution, Gorcsan said the results could change the way patients are treated with the device in order to have the best results possible.
